Young Fine Gael (YFG) is the youth wing of Fine Gael and always welcomes new members aged 15 - 30.
YFG has it's own President and National Executive.
YFG is an organisation with thousands of members all over the country, with an unrivalled programme of social events, nights out and weekends away. So as well as an opportunity to voice your opinion on the issues that matter to you, you get a packed social life into the bargain!
YFG was founded in 1977 as Ireland's first independent political youth organisation. It has been involved in many political campaigns since then. In recent years YFG has campaigned on Insurance for Young Drivers, the price of housing for young homebuyers, the issue of mental health and suicide among young people and the Lisbon Reform Treaty.
YFG believes strongly in the ideal of the European Union and is a member of the Youth of the European People's Party.
YFG has various committees which discuss policy in the areas of International Affairs, Social Affairs, Education, Choiste na Gaeilge and Agriculture.
