Social

Our social and cultural category includes many activities that bring young people together. Examples include:

Youth Cafés and youth clubs

Youth Clubs Cafés provide safe, comfortable places where you can participate in a wide range of recreational activities. They also provide opportunities to meet people of your own age in a drug and alcohol-free environment. Activities include youth band performances, karaoke sessions, discos, quizzes, sport match parties, arts programs, mentoring programs, empowerment sessions and many, many more!

Become an active citizen!

You can become an active citizen in many ways, though political activities like Comhairle na nÓg, or though volunteering with any campaigns or for any activity that makes the world, or your neighbourhood, a better place.

Comhairle na nÓg

Would you like to have your say in issues concerning your local area? Comhairle na nÓg is a young people’s council for 7 to 17 year olds to discuss topics of local, national and international interest that are important to them. Delegates elected from the Comhairle then go ahead and represent their area at the national Dáil na nÓg which is attended by all the young people from every Comhairle in Ireland. Get involved in your local Comhairle na nÓg and have your say!

Faith and Spirituality

Faith orientated programmes focus on your spiritual needs promoting a range of initiatives which include retreats, youth liturgies, parish based programmes, pilgrimages, and faith-inspired arts and drama.
